Our sustainability practices in action:

1) HighPoint utilizes a full solar array to generate 100% renewable electricity as well as net energy production at our US corporate office and warehouse facility. Find out more.

2) Our US warehouse is constructed with Solarcrete, an insulated concrete that maintains internal temperatures without the need for heating and cooling.

3) We have significantly reduced our company’s carbon footprint by supporting a remote working culture.

4) Our company policies require the recycling of all shipping materials and office supplies.

5) Our zero-waste-to-landfill policy ensures that electronic equipment is reused, recycled, or recovered.

6) Our administrative processes have drastically reduced paper consumption through the use of online processing and data storage.

7) We use paper cups, biodegradable towels, and paper water bottles in our offices.

8) We partner with sustainably conscious manufacturers, and Best in Class OEM’s such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Dell and Lenovo who share our Environmental and Social Responsibility policies.

9) We partner with Ecovadis to evaluate our Policies to assure adherence to Best in Class Social Responsibility standards.

10) Electric Vehicle Charging stations have been installed at our corporate office to support staff and visitors who want to reduce emissions from gas-powered cars.

11) HighPoint Solutions has reported to CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) since 2017.

12) We support our customers on their sustainability journey and Scope 3 reporting requirements, by offering concrete solutions to help them meet their goals.

Objectives

Announced: February 2024

Target timeframe: Long Term.

HighPoint Solutions commits to reduce scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 30% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and to measure and reduce scope 3 emissions.

2023 Progress: Transitioned to a fully a green energy tariff for the UK operations.

 

Announced: February 2024

Target timeframe: Near Term.

Reduce the Scope 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2025 through the installation of Solar panels on the primary headquarters in the UK.

2023 Progress: Solar panel installation provisionally agreed with Landlord, initial roof survey instructed and completed.

2023 – Complete:

Environmental issue:  reducing CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions is critical to tackling the worsening climate crisis.

Goal: Reduce overall CO2 emissions by focusing on the reduction of scope 3 emissions.

Time Frame: implement the changes necessary to reduce emissions before the end of 2023.

Actionable Steps:

  • Identify renewable energy providers.
  • Select preferred supplier and initiates transfer to supplier.
  • Monitor and report energy consumption regularly.
  • Staff training on energy saving policies.
  • Investigate energy saving technologies that could support a reduced CO2 footprint.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Utilize electricity suppliers for our UK offices, that provide energy from 100% renewable sources by December 2023

Environmental Issue: Single-use plastics, or disposable plastics, are used once then disposed of in a landfill. At its worst, plastic does not decompose but rather degrades into small toxic particles that make their way into our lands and oceans.

Goal: Reduce the volume of non compostable waste to landfill by eliminating single-use plastic items from use in the US office’s.

Time Frame: Achieve zero single use plastic waste to landfill from the US offices by the end of 2023.

Actionable Steps:

  • Educate employees on the issues associated with single use plastics.
  • Implement recycling programs.
  • Provide reusable and sustainable alternatives for plastic products.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve 100% removal of single use plastics from use in the US Offices by December 2023
